From Ambition to Achievement: My Journey in Digital Marketing

How It All Started
I’ve always believed that growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone. That mindset has been my compass from the very beginning of my career, guiding me through different countries, companies, and challenges.
My journey started as an ambitious student with a clear vision: I wanted to go beyond borders. My curiosity and drive led me to internships that fueled my passion for marketing, and by the time I graduated, I knew one thing for certain—I needed to go abroad.
My First Attempt
In July, 2018 – that ambition led me to Printful, where I found my first real opportunity to make an impact. As the company was looking to expand its presence in the Spanish market, I eagerly took on the challenge.
Within a year and a half, I spearheaded the marketing and content strategy for Spain, driving a remarkable 300% year-over-year growth. I designed and executed a social media strategy that saw our Instagram following grow to 8,000 in less than a year. I also tackled SEO optimization, organized events, and even took the stage at public speaking engagements to build trust and visibility among Spanish merchants.
In just two months, our YouTube content creation and webinars garnered 1,000 followers, a testament to the power of targeted, engaging content.

A Big Move
I was gaining experience, growing as a marketer, happily enjoying my time there, when the phone rang.
In November 2019, I moved to Germany, drawn by the opportunity to work with Shopify, starting with Oberlo. There, I developed the marketing strategy plan in 2020, achieving an impressive 256% year-over-year traffic growth and a 142% increase in lead generation. I conducted a comprehensive SEO audit, which resulted in a 96.4% effectiveness rate and up to 1700% growth in its peaks. I also led brand awareness initiatives that boosted direct traffic by 160% year-over-year and managed a talented outsourced team of six people.
Giving My Best
One of my proudest achievements at Shopify was developing LevelUp, an online education platform for entrepreneurs. From selecting instructors to overseeing content and even starring in one of the courses, I was deeply involved in every aspect of the project, ensuring it met the high standards we set.

A step up in my career
After my successful time at Oberlo, I transitioned to Shopify’s core team, where I took on the challenge of designing and implementing the marketing and content strategy for the Spanish market. This was a role that required not just strategic thinking but also the ability to lead and inspire a team.
Through all of this, what I valued most was the chance to be surrounded by people as passionate and driven as I was. Whether we were brainstorming new content ideas, tackling complex challenges, or celebrating our wins, we worked together with a shared sense of purpose. My time at Shopify taught me the importance of leadership, collaboration, and the relentless pursuit of excellence—lessons that continue to guide me in my career today.
My Truest Self
One of my key responsibilities at Shopify was accelerating the growth of our YouTube channel, which had become a vital platform for engaging with our audience. In just six months, I drove the channel to 1 million views and 30,000 new subscribers, achieving a remarkable 500% year-over-year growth. This wasn’t just about producing content—it was about understanding our audience’s needs, crafting stories that resonated with them, and building a community that trusted and valued our insights. And most importantly, I was doing all that while having lots of fun—Truly, I’ve never enjoyed anything more than filming videos.

A True Happy Face
Public speaking also became a significant part of my role. I participated at numerous conferences and lectures, sharing various success stories, strategies, and insights with a broader audience. These opportunities not only enhanced my company’s brand visibility but also allowed me to connect with other industry leaders, exchange ideas, and stay ahead of emerging trends.
From Local to Global
In 2022, I took a significant step forward in my career by joining Doofinder as the leader of their international team. Transitioning from a focus on the Spanish market to overseeing content strategies across five markets—United States, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy—was both challenging and exhilarating.
Under my leadership, we 3x traffic and increased the number of qualified leads by 34%. I built and led an in-house team of 5 people, creating an environment where every team member had room to grow. I established processes, guidelines, and templates to ensure consistency and drive growth, all while actively participating in conferences, classes, and collaborations with brands like Webpositer, eCommerce Master Plan, L’Oréal, ISDI, BrightonSEO, and more.

A Defining Chapter
In July 2024, I joined SiteGround to take on one of the most challenging roles of my career. I was brought in to transform and lead a team of 10 people, rebuild the strategy, and drive performance in a fast-moving and demanding environment.
It was an intense and transformative experience. I restructured the team, hired new talent, and implemented processes to improve alignment and execution. Navigating team changes while setting a new strategic direction pushed me to grow not only as a marketer, but as a leader.
While we made meaningful progress, the company ultimately decided to bring the function fully on-site. As a remote leader, this marked a natural turning point.
What I take from this experience is resilience, sharper leadership skills, and an even deeper understanding of how to build and scale high-performing teams under pressure.
What’s Next
I recently joined an amazing project and, although I’m intentionally keeping some details under wraps for now, I can say that I’m energized, building, and moving forward with more clarity than ever.
Small hint: it’s an amazing company, full of amazing people, focused on an amazing mission.
In my role, I’m diving deep into AI while doing the thing I truly love the most (that’s another hint)!
At the same time, I’ve started building something of my own: creating video content and experimenting with new ways to connect, educate, and inspire.
